TRAINING COURSE – Basic Globally Harmonised System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals
June 23 - June 24
The GHS is an internationally agreed system for classifying and communicating chemical hazards through labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). South Africa adopted GHS under the Regulations for Hazardous Chemical Agents (HCA), with an 18-month transition period. The latest draft regulations reinforce requirements for classification, SDS development, and labelling. This training introduces the fundamentals of GHS, focusing on hazard classification, SDS preparation, and labelling requirements.
