This course is designed to equip prospective SQAS-AFRICA auditors with the necessary skills and expertise to assess Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) in accordance with the SQAS-AFRICA Management System requirements. This system provides a standardised framework for evaluating the safety, health, environmental, security, and quality performance of LSPs through independent audits conducted by CAIA-certified auditors.
Originally developed by the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic), the SQAS framework has been adapted for the African context, with CAIA serving as its custodian since 1 July 2017.
The handling, storage, and transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous goods present inherent risks that may impact people, animals, property, and the environment. To mitigate these risks, LSPs must implement robust management systems that identify and control potential hazards effectively. Auditing these systems not only ensures compliance but also fosters continuous improvement across the logistics sector.
