Collaborating with members on key challenges
Our members’ expertise is integral to CAIA’s advocacy efforts as it strengthens the sector’s contributions to formal submissions and policy discussions.
In addition, CAIA is a member of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), the apex business organisation in South Africa. The implementation arm of BUSA is B4SA which brings business and government together to address challenges and drive inclusive economic growth. Current focus areas include energy, transport and logistics, and crime and corruption. In response to South Africa’s ongoing water crisis, water has recently been added to B4SA’s list of priority focus areas.
As a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), CAIA is part of the collective voice of over 45 million businesses shaping the global trade and industry agenda. As the only private sector organisation with a seat at the table in the United Nations, membership of the ICC facilitates access to a range of major intergovernmental processes to ensure that business concerns and perspectives
