CAIA has received and invitation from the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries to attend the first Plastic Colloquium – Understanding the Plastics Sector and Identifying Policy Measures. The colloquium is intended to consider the effectiveness of recent and current initiatives to address the challenge of plastic waste pollution. The lessons from the colloquium will assist in directing the possible projects/programmes and policy direction that South Africa could take to address the plastic waste pollution problem at national level.
