CAIA is part of the Business Constituency of the National Economic Development and Labour Council Trade and Industry Chamber (NEDLAC TIC) which deliberates on trade matters. On 24 October 2019, the Department of Communications and Postal Services presented the National Digital Skills Strategy to the NEDLAC TIC. The aim of the Strategy is to provide a roadmap for priority digital skills action points as well as a roadmap for stakeholder collaboration. The Strategy has eight elements; namely:

The MTBPS plays a critical role in the overall budget process because it sets out the policy framework for the upcoming budget and provides the country and its elected representatives an update on the National Treasury’s assessment of the current economic climate and outlook.
