Draft Carbon Tax Bill
Summary of Intent
The National Treasury has released the draft Carbon Tax Bill for public comment, along with a media statement and draft explanatory memorandum.The Media Statement suggests that revenue generated through the Carbon Tax will be recycled and that the tax will be revenue neutral at the macroeconomic level. However, this may not be true for significant emitters of process greenhouse gases.

Draft Policy on Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning
This policy, criteria and guideline provides for the role of the Chief Directorate: National Artisan Development in leading, managing and coordinating the implementation of recognition of prior learning for all occupations listed as trades in Notice 691 of 2012 and applies to all Quality Council for Trades and Occupations accredited national artisan development; including accredited skills development providers, accredited trade test centres and workplaces.
