Department of Transport Ports Regulator of South Africa

Tariff Application 2016/17

Summary of Intent

The Transnet National Ports Authority is engaging on its 2016/17 tariff application that is to be submitted to the Ports Regulator of South Africa. CAIA previously alerted members to the tariff strategy that the regulator was engaging upon; and where CAIA gained an understanding of the paradigm shift in tariff strategy that was proposed by the regulator. The approved tariff strategy that will be implemented over the next ten years is likely to benefit cargo owners.
