Ozone-depleting substances: draft South Africa Position paper (Montreal Protocol), and Business Case for manufacturing refillable cylinders in South Africa

Summary of Intent
The draft South African Position paper has been released by the Department for comment, outlining the negotiating positions to be taken by South Africa at the 45th Open-Ended Working Group meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 3 - 7 July 2023 in Thailand, Bangkok. The draft Position Paper covers administrative matters and key issues to be discussed at the meeting.
