The SAEO report is required in terms of the National Environmental Management Laws Second Amendment Act. It is a critical tool that provides objective, accurate and scientifically credible information on the condition and prospects of the environment. It is a comprehensive and impartial assessment report that illustrates the picture of the condition of the environment in the country.
