Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)

It has been reported that the GHS is to be implemented in a further four African countries, namely Kenya, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria. According to Chemical Watch, “The pilot project was launched on 4 April and is a collaboration between the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM), the EU, the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), ECHA and the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
