Webinar
Summary of Intent
A webinar entitled “Exporting lead poisoning: The toxic trade in lead chromates” will be held on 4 February 2025 from 15h00 to 16h30. While an increasing number of countries have banned lead paint, it is still allowed in more than half of the world’s countries. Many countries also face challenges to monitor and enforce lead paint bans. One of the final remaining types of lead compounds used in paint are lead chromate pigments, even though cost-effective alternatives are widely available. Leading experts will discuss the findings of an International Pollutants Eliminations Network (IPEN) report and other similar studies, and the importance of listing lead chromate in the Stockholm Convention.Your membership level does not allow you access to this content.
