The Codes of Management Practice (CMP), formerly known as the Management Practice Standard (MPS) were reviewed, updated, and published by CAIA in August 2020. With the assistance of the Responsible Care® Standing Committee and signatories to the Responsible Care® Initiative, nine (9) CMP were updated, and one (1) new CMP developed. The accompanying Audit Guidance Document (AGD) was also updated to cater for the new requirements in the revised and newly developed CMP.
Full members of CAIA must convert their current systems to incorporate the requirements of the new codes. The revised codes are currently under voluntary implementation by signatories until 1 August 2021 when they become mandatory. The CMP Bridging Workshop will highlight the differences between the MPS and the CMP to enable delegates identify and understand the aspects that have been amended in order for their organisations to conform to the new requirements.
