Managing Hazardous Substances Training Course
The objective of the course is to equip the participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to assess the hazards presented when handling hazardous substances in the workplace and to be able to identify the controls required.
The Managing Hazardous Substances Training Course will assist companies to comply with national and international statutory requirements as well as reduce incidents at the workplace.
Learning Outcomes:
Delegates credited with this standard will be able to:
- Identify and classify hazardous substances in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Apply the statutory requirements relevant to the control and management of hazardous substances.
Who Should Attend?
The Managing Hazardous Substances Training Course is intended for all personnel who are required to identify an incident or emergency involving hazardous materials and take basic preventative measures while calling for assistance.

- Communication at NQF Level 4 (Matric).
- Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4 (Matric).
