Background
The Safety and Quality Assessment for Sustainability - AFRICA (SQAS-AFRICA) is a system that utilises uniform third-party audits to evaluate the performance of Logistics Service Providers (LSPs). The SQAS-AFRICA audits cover the quality, safety, security, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and environmental sections of a company’s management system. SQAS-AFRICA is a key element of Responsible Care® modified to suit logistics operations. CAIA is the custodian of the SQAS-AFRICA Management System in Africa and ensures its integrity.
