On 6 December 2019, the new Ergonomics Regulations, were published by the Minister of Employment and Labour in the Government Gazette, in terms of section 43 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (the "OHASA"). These regulations came into operation on the date of publication in the Government Gazette.
Organisations see the frequency of ergonomic-related injuries and costs growing each year. It is a fact that people need to perform physical work in factories, warehouses, offices, etc. Systematically conducting ergonomic risk assessments gives organisations a clear view of the risk present in the workplace. This clear view of risks will allow organisations to effectively communicate, prioritise, and implement workplace improvements.
This webinar will focus on the Regulations, ergonomics programmes and ergonomics risk assessment.
