3rd Party independent verification of Responsible Care® signatories is mandatory to membership and helps sustain the industry's commitment to the initiative.
Verification of compliance is conducted every three years by trained Responsible Care® auditors using the Responsible Care® Audit Guidance Documents. Companies who implement environmental and health and safety management standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 can arrange to include their Responsible Care® verification in their routine ISO and OHSAS audits.
