CAIA’s Risk-based Process Safety Management (RBPSM) Courses Attain Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation
CAIA is pleased to announce that the CPD Committee at the South African Institution of Chemical Engineers (SAIChE) has approved the allocation of appropriate credits to all CAIA RBPSM courses as indicated in the table below.

A formal system of recording CPD for engineering practitioners has been in place since 1 January 2006. CPD is a requirement when registered engineering practitioners renew their registration with ECSA. Section 22(1) of the Engineering Profession Act, 2000 (Act 46 of 2000) requires that registered engineering practitioners must renew their registration by applying to ECSA in the prescribed manner. To give effect to the legislation ECSA links renewal of registration with CPD.
CAIA looks forward to offering the newly ECSA CPD accredited RBPSM courses to all relevant engineers in South Africa and abroad.
