CAIA Reintroduces the Process Safety Forum in Kwa-Zulu Natal

The Kwa-Zulu Natal Process Safety Forum (KZN PSF) was disbanded after the meeting held on 27 October 2016, but will be reinstated in 2018. Following member insistence, CAIA is reintroducing the quarterly KZN PSF meetings in 2018. Neil Franklin, AECI’s Group Safety, Health and Environment Manager, has volunteered to lead the PSF. Francois Holtzhausen, a seasoned Process Safety auditor and consultant, will assist Franklin in making the revamped Forum a success.
The purpose of the Forum is to share knowledge and information on improving process safety and to provide an opportunity for member companies to assist one another by sharing best practices and pooling resources with specific benefits for smaller companies who don't have the necessary resources for training. The Forum has undertaken to keep CAIA members informed about Process Safety issues and to discuss and share experiences and concerns arising from incidents. All CAIA members are welcome to attend the meetings.
Former members, new members, consultants, university students and process safety professionals are welcome to join as members of the Forum. CAIA, together with Franklin and Francois Holtzhausen, look forward to making the KZN PSF a success.
